Well, this post will effectively wrap up a month of making sweets, and although I plan on diving into a new adventure this month, my pending vacation will delay new recipes here.
There is nothing new or really special about this cake. I made it as payment for my friend dog sitting.
It’s a simple chocolate cake with a core layer of chocolate mousse and whipped ganache on top. The mousse is similar to what I make with Nutella. I just swapped in some melted Ghirardelli candy making chocolate — the same thing I use for the ganache.
I want to keep this short, so I won’t rehash any recipes here. Any chocolate cake will do. Ganache is super easy to make. You can use it as a glaze, but I prefer it whipped. I think the Nutella mousse is a bit tastier and sexier, but if you want plain chocolate like my friend, just swap out the ingredients like I did.
