In late 2017, while working for The Salt Lake Tribune, the food writer there approached me about joining a group of restaurant reviewers for the newspaper. And how could I say no?!? Restaurant reviews, or food writing in general, seemed like the perfect marriage of my love of food history and culture and storytelling. I’m still very new to it, trying to find my own voice and educate myself, but I really enjoy having the opportunity to experience new cuisines and talk with chefs and restaurateurs about their work.
